  Lovely atmosphere, great food and excellent service from Shez. Shez made it extra special for my son as we was there to celebrate his birthday. Before our table booking, I popped to the restaurant and asked it the table could be decorated with some balloons I had brought and Shez was able to take me into the restaurant and choose the table and she was happy to set the table up for us for when we came back at our time of booking. Shez made our reservation really special by the way she interacted with us all including the children who have additional needs. She went above and beyond for us to make sure we was happy and didn’t need anything else once we had ordered our drinks and meals. Shez popped back a couple of times to check on us and when we had finished she cleared the table promptly and brought us the bill. Great value for money and we had some free garlic breads. This is not the first time I have eaten here and it won’t be the last. Thank you for making my son’s birthday special.

  Amazing service, personable waiters and waitresses and accomodating where possible to needs of customers. Atmosphere was great, lively and also quiet enough to speak with one another. Food was very tasty, (pasta Carbonara and the beef ragu pasta dish, I cannot remember the exact name). Carbonara was a good temperature and tasted apparently great. I had the beef dish and it was delicious. I'd have preferred it to be hotter (temperature-wise) though, but it was no issue. Drinks were delicious, we both had mocktails, raspberry and mint cooler and the one with dragon fruit and sorbet. Desserts were delicious. I had chocolate icecream and my partner had tiramisu. Tipped £5 to individual staff member, Izzy for great service. :) I believe there is an option for tips to be shared with the team too.

  Shez was absolutely brilliant when we came to pay the bill as we had unknowingly talked to one of the managers about the poor food who had not been interested. However Shez was really polite, helpful and brought the top manager to speak to us who sorted out the issue to our satisfaction. Excellent customer service and great dessert recommendation.

  I love Zizz’s but don’t usually go to Meadow Hall I would particularly like to mention Ruby the lovely waitress we had. I watched her she never stopped and it was lunchtime so very busy. She was so lovely with customers, I am always happy with the service I get at Zizzi’s but Ruby was a very happy, funny waitress and one that needs praising. She seems happy in her job. Thank you Ruby.

  We visited here today for my birthday today to enjoy a nice meal. I had already booked a table so as to avoid disappointment. We were kept waiting for around 5 minutes before a server came to assist the people in front of us. The restaurant was fairly busy though. We were shown to a table, with very limited information given by the server at the time, she didn’t ask us about allergies or any issues & literally just showed us to a table. After being sat for 10 minutes; we noticed another server took the order of a couple & there child next to us, but then turned around and walked off without even coming to us. A young guy came to us eventually, he seemed friendly & helpful and took the order down without issue. Drinks turned up about 15 minutes after ordering, it appears they were sat at the bar for sometime. Again being ignored by some of the serving staff. The food arrived, my wife’s bolognese arrived, and the garlic bread with cheese too. There was no sign of my lasagne and the server who had ignored us earlier said it wouldn’t be long. Nearly 15 minutes later, I still didn’t have my main course and the server who took our order went to chase it up. My wife’s bolognese arrived had already eaten her main course by the time my food had arrived. The guy seemed to be doing all the work, while the other servers stood around & chatted instead of assisting customers. This could explain the problems with slow service today, equally frustrating no one asked that our meals were ok, or offered any Parmesan to go with our meals. All in all a really poor service today. I love Zizzi & Zizzi food, but I won’t be returning to this particular restaurant. It was poor service from start to finish.
